| MunchingOrange's Wind Archer/Breaker Build!
Allright people, whether your an experienced MapleStory player or a noob brand new to the game, this guide will give the best strategy for Wind Archers. So first you may be asking yourselves "What's a Wind Archer?" Well, a Wind Archer is basically the Bowman class under the Cygnus Knights. To become a Wind Archer, you must get to Level 20 with a normal character and speak with Neinheart in Ereve to create a character as a Cygnus Knight. Once you become a Wind Archer, your probably gonna be very confused about what skills and stats to increase. That's when this guide comes in. Now, let's begin...
As soon as you start leveling up, you will get points you can use to upgrade your Skills. You get 3 points with each Level you gain. The more strategically you spend those points, the better your Archer will end up.
When you level up, you will also get points to spend on Stats. These stats are HP, MP, Strength (STR), Dexterity (DEX), Luck (LUK), and Intelligence (INT). Wind Archers only need Dexterity and a bit of Strength to use their bows. When it comes to applying Stats to your Wind Archer, use the following formula:
Strength = Level + 5
What this formula means is that your strength Stat should be 5 points higher than your character's Level. For example, a character at Level 10 would have 15 Strength, a character at Level 33 would have 38 Strength, etc. The rest of the points you get should go to Dexterity so if you start seeing that your character has about 20 Strength and 100 Dexterity, don't worry, it means your doing it right.BeginnerAh, the Beginner... Getting used to the game can be hard with such limited power and abilities but I can help make it a lot easier for all you noobs. First off, you definitely want to have Three Snails maxed out ASAP. With this ability on max power, you can do a stable 40 damage for a minor MP cost. This can greatly help with defeating the monsters in the beginning of the game and even other weak monsters throughout the game. Definitely max out Three Snails before anything else. After your done with Three Snails you have the option to upgrade either Recovery or Nimble Feet, but I definitely recommend you max out Recovery. The Nimble Feet ability allows you to move around quicker than usual for a short period of time. This can help you if are easily annoyed by the slow walking speed. The Recovery skill allows you to recover HP constantly for 30 seconds which can greatly help out beginners if they don't want to waste potions. In the end, it's your choice betwen Recovery and Nimble Feet but I recommend you go with Recovery. | Actually... Bowmans have every advantage to go strengthless, the only reason they possibly need STR is because of the requirements for equipping the bows. The best bows around need at most 100 STR in the end, So I'd say STR = level until you reach level 100. After that, no STR investment what so ever. Besides, if you really need STR for whatever reason, it's easy to gain a 20 - 50 STR through scrolling your equipments.
Also, don't do 10 Storms then 10 Mastery, it's a waste which makes neither skill gain much use. Max them one at a time. Either mastery first or Storm first. IMO maxing Storm first is a lot more useful than Mastery because you'd be kicking ass in Monster Carnival Party Quest during level 30 - 40 anyways. Mastery = stability, if you max Mastery first the most you'd get is an extremely stable double shot... completely useless in CPQ. Besides, the attack used during Wind Walk will have a 30% power boost. Which pretty much does what Max Mastery minimal Storm would do. | |
